9th Grade Algebra

Algebra 9th grade:

Find the difference of two polynomials.

(–7x2 + 12) – (8 – x2)

Solution:Step 1:Open the parentheses.

( –7x2 + 12) – (8 – x2) = –7x2 + 12 – 8 + x2.

Step 2:Group like terms.

= (–7x2 + x2) + (12 – 8)
